Alice Cogin

Alice Cogin thinks like a writer first and a director second — which is why her work always starts with the idea and never lets go of it. A decade inside one of Australia's most respected creative collectives shaped that instinct, working across award-winning commercials, subversive art installations and large-scale experiential activations before she stepped out on her own in late 2024.

Her directing career began, fittingly, by winning a global writing and directing competition — the prize being the chance to direct The Wire's Dominic West in her debut short, The Finish Line. Since then she's made visually daring, idea-led work for some of the world's biggest brands: a gleefully provocative film for Better Packaging Co, Uber Eats' Australian Open ambush, Samsung, and the Shift20 Initiative with Dylan Alcott.

Writer, art director and director in one, Alice makes sure every decision strengthens the concept at its core. Bold ideas, executed with precision.
