Liv McClymont
Liv McClymont is a New Zealand writer-director working across narrative, documentary and commercial film. From Ōtautahi Christchurch, she pairs character-driven storytelling with bold, colour-rich, theatrical visuals — confident, contemporary, and completely her own.
Her documentary The Man Outside follows a stalking victim's fight through New Zealand's legal system; I Stand for Consent charts a student campaign for compulsory consent education. The Sender, a 17-episode vertical-format teen comedy-thriller, uses sharp humour and a vivid world to tackle image-based abuse and digital safety. And her Qantas film, a tender intergenerational story spanning Aotearoa and Australia, shows how much she can carry with restraint alone.
Named Emerging Craft Talent at the 2026 Axis Awards, Liv brings the same empathy and precision to a brand film as she does to a documentary — with commercial work for Qantas, 2degrees, The Warehouse and Tegel already to her name. A genuine new voice in both commercial and narrative film.
